This conceptual design project challenges you to step outside your comfort zone and create something new. Ma-Cho, short for Manly Chocolate, combines satire with rich flavors. It offers five distinctive flavors: Chili Pepper, Smoked Honey, Bacon, Potato Chip, and Coffee Bean. Although initially designed for the 'man's man,' this delicious and ironic treat is for everyone to enjoy
In this project, which focused on pushing boundaries, I intentionally avoided incorporating the typically feminine touches and illustrations that I usually gravitate towards. Instead, I leaned into darker hues and employed my Photoshop skills. Embracing the project's ironic, 'manly' theme, I played with chocolate flavors, combining imagery and colors to craft a distinctive and playful package design.
The playful concept of this project required careful consideration of the typography to maintain that vibe. Neretto Sans was an ideal choice, with its bold and cheerful style that didn't come across as childish. It resulted in the perfect, straightforward logo – embodying the essence of “manly chocolate” in the attitude of MA_CHO.
